Ulster Rugby reviewing Kingspan sponsorship amid UK government pressure

United Rugby Championship club Ulster Rugby has said it is engaged in an “existing active review” of its sponsorship deal with building materials company Kingspan after the UK Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities requested it “reconsider their relationship”.

Michael Gove’s intervention comes amid growing pressure concerning sports sponsorship deals connected to Kingspan during the inquiry into the Grenfell Tower disaster.
