UFC seeks to boost performance with Exos

Sports training and nutrition company Exos has signed a year-long partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed martial arts series.

The agreement names the company the UFC’s performance partner for 2016. UFC athletes will be given the chance to utilise the services of Exos’ team of coaches, nutritionists and physical therapists as part of the deal.

A number of UFC Athlete Summits will also be organised between the two parties throughout the year. UFC teamed up with Exos during 2015 and organised a range of seminars and training sessions aimed at maximising performance and minimising risk.

UFC chief operating officer Lawrence Epstein said: “UFC athletes are some of the most well-conditioned and dynamic competitors in all of sports and by collaborating with Exos, an organisation with an incredible track record of success with elite athletes, they’ll learn new and innovative ways to optimise their performance and protect themselves from injury.”

UFC athletes Kelvin Gastelum (pictured), Kamaru Usman, Paul Felder and Max Holloway are currently using Exos’ training headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.
