Transportation network company Uber has extended its kit sponsorship deal with Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A football club Atlético Mineiro.
The new deal will run throughout the 2018 season, after initially launching in September 2017.
Uber’s branding will now appear on the collar of Atlético’s shirts until the end of the year. Its logo had previously appeared on the numbers of the team’s shirts.
The company will also remain as the official mobility platform for the club.
"The important thing is the strategic issue that we have this year, to increasingly value our partner-fan offering services, and this is a strategic sponsorship for that,” Atlético’s director of administration and control, Bebeto de Freitas, said.
