The U.S. Soccer national governing body has entered into a partnership with health solutions company Thorne.
The multi-year deal names Thorne as the official nutritional supplement partner of U.S. Soccer.
The company will provide U.S. Soccer athletes at all levels, including the men’s and women’s national teams, with safe and effective nutritional supplements. The National Women’s Soccer League club competition will also be included in the deal.
In addition, Thorne will serve as the presenting sponsor of U.S. Soccer’s Recognize to Recover programme, which aims to promote player health and safety.
Recognize to Recover was launched earlier this year and provides players, coaches, parents and referees with information, guidance and additional educational materials to improve the management and prevention of injuries.
“Our partnership addresses a great need on the part of competitive and elite athletes,” Thorne chief executive Paul Jacobson said. “No longer must these athletes fend for themselves trying to figure out what to take, and where to get a safe and reliable source of nutritional supplements. We are extremely excited to be a long-term partner of U.S. Soccer.”
