Malaysian telecommunications company U Mobile has sealed a deal to co-sponsor the country’s Superbest Power Piala FA and Liga Premier Malaysia club competitions.
The agreement with Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership will run for three years, from 2016 to 2018.
U Mobile will have exclusivity in the telecommunications category, with marketing, promotion and engagement opportunities around the two competitions as well as in-stadium branding, corporate hospitality and the use of club and player image rights for advertising purposes.
The deal was brokered by the MP & Silva agency.
To activate the partnership, U Mobile has created an exclusive customer campaign called #BangsaBola, consisting of on-ground activities as well as contests where fans can win a chance to meet their favourite players. A #BangsaBola microsite is also being developed for fans to view match highlights of up to one minute per round and other football related content. It will go live next month.
