Turkish home and professional appliances manufacturer Vestel has entered into a partnership with the Turkish Volleyball Federation, the sport’s national governing body.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that Vestel will serve as the main sponsor of the body and the country’s national volleyball teams.
In addition, the country’s top tier of women’s club volleyball will now be known as Vestel Venus Sultans League.
Özkan Mutlugil, chairman of the Turkish Volleyball Federation, said: “Within the scope of this agreement, entered under our new ‘volleyball partner programme’, created in line with our new branding strategy and which will cover all Turkish Volleyball Federation events with a small number of main sponsors and partners, global technology giant Vestel has become a new partner of our federation.”
