Turkish Tourism has agreed a deal with Euroleague Basketball to become the official premium destination partner of the sport’s top European club tournament and the organisation’s Eurocup competition for the 2015-16 season.
The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism initially linked up with the Euroleague for the 2015 Euroleague Final Four in Madrid, Spain.
This season, the Euroleague features more Turkish teams than ever, with Fenerbahce, Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul and Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir. The Eurocup features four more clubs from Turkey: Banvit Bandirma, Besiktas Sompo Japan Istanbul, Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul and Trabzonspor Medical Park.
Under the agreement, the Turkish Tourism campaign called Turkey Home will enjoy a 360-degree sponsorship package of promotional assets from both the Euroleague and the Eurocup. The collaboration features the ‘Social Wall presented by Turkey Home,’ an exclusive digital platform for Euroleague fans.
“After first working together with Turkish Tourism at the Final Four last spring, we can't be happier with that experience and our plans to do a lot more together going forward,” Euroleague president and chief executive Jordi Bertomeu said.
