The Trinidad & Tobago Olympic Committee has announced a multi-year kit supplier deal with German sportswear brand Adidas.
Under the agreement, which was brokered by the HSInternational sports management company, Adidas will supply clothing and equipment to Trinidad & Tobago’s team at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Adidas will also support teams at a number of other multi-sport events, including the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China and the Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz, Mexico this year and the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games.
At the London 2012 Olympic Games, Trinidad & Tobago won four medals, all in athletics, with Keshorn Walcott becoming the youngest ever gold-medal winner in the men’s javelin – the country’s first presence on the top of the podium since Montreal 1976.
