Chinese beer brands Tsingtao and Yanjing have signed as Official Beer Partners of the 2022 Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Both Tsingtao and Yanjing were Official Beer Partners of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and the two brands will hold similar “co-exclusive” marketing rights for the Winter Games in 2022.
Yesterday, Tsingato and Yanking unveiled composite logos that combine each of their own trademarks with the Beijing 2022 logo.
The move comes after the Beijing Organising Committee opened invitations for tier-two sponsors in August this year.
Beijing 2022 launched its marketing program for tier-one sponsors in February 2017, and since then, eight tier-one partners have signed with the Games, including:
- Bank of China
- National carrier Air China
- Dairy brand Yili Group
- Sportswear brand ANTA
- Telecoms firm China Unicom
- Urban regeneration firm Shougang Group
- Oil and gas firm CNPC
- Oil and gas firm Sinopec Group
The Beijing Organising Committee is expected to announce more tier-two partnerships over the coming months.
