TradePoint, the trade brand of UK home improvement retailer B&Q, has reached a commercial agreement with the English Football League.
Under the deal, TradePoint becomes the official trade supplier to the Football League and the 72 clubs from the Championship, League One and League Two divisions will join the group’s membership scheme, which gives businesses discounted prices on a range of building and home improvement products. Terms of the deal were undisclosed.
Additionally, TradePoint takes the title sponsorship for the weekly Football League Radio Show and the Academy Series – an initiative that aims to improve the business performance of Football League clubs through a series of seminars addressing industry issues.
The Football League’s chief commercial officer Richard Heaselgrave said: “I am delighted to welcome TradePoint to this new partnership with the Football League. It gives each of our clubs the opportunity to save thousands of pounds on the cost of maintaining their stadium or training ground.”
