UK-based luxury clothing manufacturer Aquascutum has agreed a global partnership with English Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur.
Under the three-year deal, spanning the 2015-16 to 2017-18 football seasons, Aquascutum will supply formalwear to Tottenham’s first-team, coaching staff, management and board of directors.
Aquascutum was founded in 1851 and its partnership with Tottenham is its first such agreement with a football club. The brand will be promoted extensively through Tottenham’s communications channels.
In 2012, Aquascutum was sold to Hong-Kong listed fashion company and its then-licensee in Asia, YGM Trading. The partnership with Tottenham is set to place a degree of emphasis on the Asian market where the club claims to have more than 170 million followers.
Tottenham players Ryan Mason and Ben Davies (pictured) launched the deal with Aquascutum by appearing at its flagship London store this week.
