Formula One motor-racing team Toro Rosso has signed a new sponsorship agreement with Spanish brewery Estrella Galicia.
Although the terms of the deal were not disclosed, it was confirmed that the agreement will come into immediate effect.
Under the deal, the logo of the brewery’s Estrella Galicia 0.0 alcohol-free beer will feature on the race suits of Toro Rosso drivers Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz, as well as the team personnel’s clothing.
In addition, the logo will feature on all of the team’s branding and communication platforms.
Team principal Franz Tost said: “Scuderia Toro Rosso already has one major Spanish sponsor (Cepsa) and this year, for the second time in our 10 year history, we will also have a Spanish driver. Therefore I am sure we will both benefit from this cooperation and it will help our team to continue moving forward.
“New sponsors are the lifeblood not just of our team, but also of the sport of Formula One in general, so it is particularly pleasing to bring a new sponsor into our sport, as it shows that it is still the perfect arena for companies to increase awareness of their products on a global scale.”
