The Scuderia Toro Rosso F1 Team has signed two new partnerships with Thai brands Moose Cider and PTT Lubricants.
Under the two deals, both brands will become Official Partners of the Toro Rosso F1 Team, and both will have branding on the drivers’ overalls and STR14 cars from this year’s German Grand Prix onwards.
Moose Cider will also have extra branding on the helmet of Thai-British driver Alex Albon, who will serve as a brand ambassador for both Moose Cider and PTT Lubricants.
The two brands have invested in Toro Rosso following a groundswell of interest in Formula One in Thailand due to Albon’s presence.
Jiraphon Kawswat, president and chief executive of PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (PTTOR), said: “We are proud to support Mr Alex Albon, the sole Thai driver in this prestigious international competition. This collaboration is a part of our efforts to demonstrate the potential of the Thai people on the international stage.
“It is also a historic opportunity for Thailand’s leading quality oil and lubricants brand to appear before the eyes of motorsport fans around the world.”
Khun Varit Yoovidhya, assistant managing director of Moose Cider parent company Siam Winery, said: “Alex is the perfect role model for young Thai athletes, having shown incredible persistence and determination throughout his challenging career.
“This partnership will support our goal to significantly grow the cider market in Thailand and Asia and make Moose Craft Cider a leader in its field.”
Moose Cider is a craft apple cider brand based in Bangkok. Its deal with Toro Rosso is one of its first sports sponsorships, and Albon will serve as its first brand ambassador.
PTTOR is the flagship company in the oil and retail business of Thai conglomerate PTT Group. PTT Lubricants has had the largest market share in Thailand for over 10 years, and is sold in over 40 countries.
