Sports betting and casino games provider Tipico has entered into a partnership with the German Football League (DFL), through which it will sponsor the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga club competitions.
The partnership, brokered with the Bundesliga International subsidiary of the DFL, is effective immediately and runs until the end of the 2020-21 season.
Tipico becomes an official partner of the two leagues, receiving rights to use their respective logos in advertising campaigns.
From the 2018-19 season, the company will also be given a first-right option in DFL media contracts and a so-called ‘matching offer right’, which relates to special forms of advertising for national licensees and sector exclusivity for corresponding bookings.
Tipico will also be promoted across DFL platforms through a package of digital rights. The commercial use of club rights is not included in the partnership.
