US cable television and telecommunications operator Time Warner Cable has agreed a multi-year sponsorship deal for the US Open with the US Tennis Association.
Time Warner Cable will serve as an official sponsor of the US Open – the 2013 edition of which started on Monday at New York’s iconic Flushing Meadows venue – across its core products and services, including digital cable, high speed internet and home phone.
The company will enjoy a strong commercial presence, including prominent branding on the umpires chairs in Arthur Ashe and Louis Armstrong stadiums.
Additionally, Time Warner Cable becomes the exclusive sponsor of US Open FanVision – an interactive device that allows fans to follow the tournament through statistics, alerts and live text updates.
On site at Flushing Meadows, those in attendance can enjoy a six-court FanVision video wall at the Time Warner Cable Experience, while the first 500 Time Warner Cable customers will gain daily free access to FanVision.
