Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A football club Fluminense has signed a shirt sponsorship deal with insurance company Thinkseg.
The deal will run for a year and grants Thinkseg brand exposure on the back of the team’s shirts.
Thinkseg will also benefit from brand exposure in the backdrop of player and manager press conferences, and through pitch-side advertising boards. Fans will also be given discount when using Thinkseg services.
Fluminense will wear its Thinkseg-branded kit for the first time during the match against Corinthians on Sunday.
Fluminense signed a short-term deal with Thinkseg in April ahead of the Rio’s state championship final and the two parties have now agreed to a longer partnership.
Thinkseg signed a similar partnership with Fluminense’s Serie A rival, Santos, earlier this year, but the Maquina do Esporte website reported that the company severed its ties with the club last week.
The report stated that Santos’ main sponsor, state-owned banking group Caixa, viewed Thinkseg as a competitor and so requested that the club bring the partnership to an end.
