Telecommunications company Telefónica Movistar has signed a Mexico-focused partnership with the NFL American football league.
Movistar will serve as an official sponsor of the NFL in Mexico as part of the deal, the length of which was not disclosed.
Movistar will also be a signature partner of the regular-season game between the New England Patriots and the Oakland Raiders in Mexico City on November 19.
The partnership will also provide Movistar customers with benefits surrounding the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl LII.
The Raiders will play in Mexico for the second consecutive season after earning a 27-20 win over the Houston Texans on November 21 last year before a sell-out crowd of 76,473 at Estadio Azteca in the first-ever Monday Night Football game played outside the US. The event marked the league’s first game in Mexico since 2005.
