Supermarket chain Aldi has agreed a partnership with the British Olympic Association to support its preparations for the Rio 2016 Games.
Aldi will serve as Team GB’s first official supermarket partner and also collaborate with the BOA’s ‘Get Set’ and ‘Home Grown Heroes’ initiatives.
Bill Sweeney, chief executive of the BOA, said: “We’re delighted to have Aldi join us on our road to Rio 2016 and their support will play a key role in the team’s success at the Olympic Games.”
Aldi joins sportswear giant Adidas, petroleum company BP, gym chain Fitness First, professional services group Deloitte, home furnishings retailer DFS and automotive manufacturer Nissan as an official partner of the BOA.
