Football Federation Australia has unveiled a partnership with Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer.
The agreement will run for four seasons, from 2016-17 to 2019-20.
Under the deal, Tag Heuer will serve as the official watch and timekeeper of the Australia national men’s team.
Tag Heuer branding will appear on substitution boards and on-field signage at matches. Tag Heuer watches will be included in the team’s off-field uniform, while the company will also sponsor pay-television broadcaster Fox Sports’ coverage of games.
“Football is a global sport and football speaks to everybody, including of course our customer of tomorrow, through all these young people that cannot buy our watches now, but some of them will be able to buy them tomorrow,” Tag Heuer’s chief executive and president of the LVMH Watch Division, Jean-Claude Biver, said. “It’s always an asset to communicate not only to your customers today, but also to your future customer.”
