Swiss Olympic Committee drives away with Toyota deal

Japanese automotive company Toyota has signed on as a premium partner of the Swiss Olympic Committee.

The four-year deal will become effective in January and run until the end of 2020, covering that year’s summer Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Toyota is also a top-tier partner of the International Olympic Committee in a deal running through to the 2024 summer Olympic Games.

Switzerland picked up seven medals at the Rio 2016 Games in Brazil. The country’s three gold medals came courtesy of cyclists Fabian Cancellara (pictured) and Nino Schurter, and the men’s lightweight four rowing team.
