Indian Premier League cricket team Chennai Super Kings has agreed a kit partnership with sportswear company Spartan Sports for the 2015 season of the Twenty20 competition.
Along with playing kit, Spartan will also supply the Super Kings with branded training apparel.
The deal with Chennai is Spartan’s first with a sports team. Its brand ambassadors in cricket include India and Super Kings captain MS Dhoni (pictured), Michael Clarke, Mitchell Johnson, Eoin Morgan and Chris Gayle.
“We are launching Spartan into the sports apparel segment very soon and this partnership is a perfect start for us,” managing director of Spartan Sports, Kunal Sharma, said.
“We have always been looking to partner with top brands to keep the consistency with our own brand positioning. Spartan Sports has established itself as one of the top brands in sporting and fitness goods and CSK is one of the most recognised teams in the IPL.”
