English Premier League football club Sunderland has signed a renewed six-year partnership with global sportswear brand Adidas.
The German company began supplying Sunderland’s technical and performance wear in 2012 and the new terms run through until summer 2020 – the longest kit deal in the club’s history.
The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Sunderland’s renewal with Adidas continues a busy month commercially for the north-east club, after it signed sponsorships with Thorn Lighting, Bidvest and TLC188.com.
Last season, Sunderland made a late recovery to escape relegation trouble and secure a 14th-place finish in the Premier League.
