The Australian arm of Japanese automotive manufacturer Subaru has signed a three-year deal to become the vehicle sponsor of UCI ProTour cycling event the Tour Down Under.
From the 2015 edition of the Tour Down Under, Subaru will supply vehicles for use during the race.
It also becomes the naming sponsor of the King of the Mountain’s jersey awarded to the leading rider during the mountain stages.
Subaru Australia already boasts a strongly established presence in Australian cycling that includes title sponsorship of the National Road Series, World of Cycling television programme on SBS, the 2014 Australian Mountain Bike Season and the NSWIS Development Team, along with joint sponsorship of the Subaru-Albion NRS Development Team.
The 2015 Tour Down Under runs from January 17-25, with the final race routes and stages to be announced next month.
