Stryker Orthopaedics has extended a commercial agreement with golf’s PGA Tour.
Stryker will continue to serve as the ‘official joint replacement products of the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions’ for three years, from 2016 to 2018.
Having first invested in the partnership in 2014, Stryker will expand its tournament presence on both the PGA Tour and on PGA Tour Champions by engaging with golf fans around the US at 11 events. At these tournaments, fans can stop by the Stryker Mobility Zone to learn about hip and knee pain as well as treatment options.
“The ability to educate thousands of fans across the country over the last two years about joint health and treatment options has been a great experience for Stryker,” said Bill Huffnagle, president, reconstructive division, Stryker. “To be able to make a connection between fans and the brand, engage them in conversation, and facilitate having their questions answered by local orthopaedic surgeons has truly helped Stryker to live up to our mission which is, together with our customers, we are driven to make healthcare better.”
Stryker will also introduce the Stryker Challenge, through which the company will invite fans to participate in various activities and to answer questions relating to joint health, mobility and golf. By participating in the Stryker Challenge, on-site fans are entered into a competition to win a trip for two to TPC Sawgrass to play alongside two PGA TOUR winners, Fred Funk and Hal Sutton – both ambassadors for the Stryker brand.
