International banking group Standard Chartered has signed a three-year extension to its title sponsorship of the Singapore Marathon.
The new partnership, worth S$10.5m (€6.1m/$8.4m), will see Standard Chartered, together with event owner Sport Singapore and event organiser Spectrum Worldwide, deliver the Singapore Marathon through to 2016.
Neeraj Swaroop, chief executive of Standard Chartered in Singapore, said: “Since 2002, Standard Chartered Bank has played a part in nurturing Singapore’s passion for running, and together with Sport Singapore and Spectrum Worldwide, we aim to develop the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore into one of Asia’s best.”
The 2014 Singapore Marathon is scheduled to take place on December 7.
