AFL Aussie rules football club St Kilda has signed up Australian office paper firm Reflex as a major sponsor of its women’s team.
The deal will run for five years, from the 2018 season through to 2022.
Reflex will serve as a major sponsor of the Southern Saints during the 2018 and 2019 VFL Women’s seasons and will continue in this role when the team joins the AFL Women’s (AFLW) competition from the 2020 campaign.
In addition, Reflex has agreed to become a premier partner of the South Metro Junior Football League community competition, which counts approximately 2,000 girls among its 11,000 registered players.
Christine Finnegan, chief commercial officer at St Kilda, said: “To have a leading Australian brand like Reflex supporting St Kilda’s path to AFLW is a great opportunity for the young women who will wear the red, white and black for the first time.”
“Their long-term support will provide the foundation for St Kilda to build a strong women’s football programme, and enable a new generation, and gender, of St Kilda heroes to emerge.”
