AFL Australian rules football team Greater Western Sydney Giants has agreed a five-year stadium naming rights partnership with cleaning, catering and facilities management company Spotless.
The newly named Spotless Stadium will host its first AFL match when the derby clash dubbed the ‘Battle of the Bridge’ between the Giants and the Sydney Swans takes place on March 15.
The Giants will play seven more AFL Premiership matches at Spotless Stadium in 2014 against Collingwood, Essendon, Geelong, Carlton, Richmond, Adelaide and Melbourne.
Opened as the Sydney Showgrounds at Sydney Olympic Park, the facility was known as Skoda Stadium during the 2012 and 2013 AFL seasons under an agreement with the Czech Republic-based automotive manufacturer.
