The Sochi 2014 organising committee for the Winter Olympic Games has unveiled five new additions to its commercial portfolio through partnerships with Samsung, Volkswagen, Yamaha, Paul Hartmann and Power Technologies.
Samsung, an International Olympic Committee TOP partner, has become an official supplier in the computer and reprographic hardware category.
Volkswagen Group Russia has agreed to become a supporting partner of the Olympic Torch Relay. The presenting partners of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Torch Relay are Coca-Cola, OSAO (Ingosstrakh) and OAO (Russian Railways Company).
Yamaha Motor CIS has become an official supplier in the utility vehicle for venues category. According to the agreement, Yamaha will provide more than 320 vehicles for the Sochi Olympic Games, including snowmobiles, four-wheel drive vehicles and golf cars.
Leading European developer and supplier of medical equipment, Paul Hartmann, has been named the supplier to the Paralympic Winter Games in the first aid category.
Power Technologies has been unveiled as the temporary power supplier to the Sochi 2014 Games. The Russian company has secured the status of official supplier to the Games in the category of temporary electricity generation and services. The company's generators will also be used as a reserve supply source in case of an emergency situation.
