SIWIDATA has signed an agreement with the International Canoe Federation (ICF) to provide timing and scoring services for various events throughout the 2013 season.
The deal will cover the senior Canoe Slalom World Championships in Czech Republic, the Junior/U23 World Championships in Slovakia, and the five World Cup events in Wales, Germany, Spain, Slovakia and Slovenia.
The company will also make its professional timing and scoring software more accessible to all of the sport’s continental and national federations.
Timing and scoring services provider SIWIDATA has been involved with the sport since 1983, having provided various services throughout that time.
Jean-Michel Prono, chairman of the ICF canoe slalom technical committee, said: “This agreement enables the ICF to further refine timing and scoring systems, whilst streamlining the technical and physical resources required for each event.”
