Website management specialist Sitecore has become the latest sponsor of the Baku 2015 European Games multi-sport event.
Sitecore specialises in bespoke content management and digital marketing technology and will provide support to the Baku 2015 web team in the build up to the inaugural edition of the European Games.
The company has signed a supply and sponsorship agreement to help provide information around the Games, the financial terms of which were not disclosed.
Baku 2015’s new website has already been visited by fans from more than 130 countries since its launch on August 21. The site will also integrate social media commentary, allowing fans to engage with the event and each other in real-time.
Simon Clegg, chief operating officer of Baku 2015, said: “It is important for the inaugural European Games to have a strong online presence and an innovative website with original, high-quality content. Sitecore are internationally renowned for their ability to create and manage websites of the highest standard and to have their support is a huge boost to the web team here at the European Games.”
The deal means Sitecore has become the fourth official supporter of Baku 2015 after McDonald’s, Tickethour and Milla.
