China’s Sina Elite League has signed a new Official Partner deal with global electronics firm Samsung.
The Sina Elite League is an international club 3×3 basketball tournament, featuring some of the best 3×3 players and teams in the International Basketball Federation (Fiba).
As part of the deal, Samsung will promote its newest product, the Galaxy A9s smartphone, at the three-day tournament in Beijing next month.
During the tournament, Galaxy A9s will be featured in a slam dunk competition and incorporated into live events streams.
Samsung’s logo will also appear on the jerseys of the Chinese, Russian, Filipino and South Korean teams.
The Sina Elite League is owned and operated by Chinese digital media platform Sina Sports.
This year’s tournament includes the top two Fiba-ranked teams – Novi Sad from the UAE and Liman from Serbia – and the 3BALL New Yorkies from the US, who won this year’s 3Ball USA Showcase.
3×3 basketball will make its debut as an Olympic event at Tokyo 2020.
