Swiss Super League football club FC Basel has extended its main sponsorship agreement with healthcare company Novartis.
The new four-year deal will cover the 2017-18 to 2020-21 seasons. The two parties’ previous agreement was due to expire at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
Novartis’ branding will continue to feature on the front of FC Basel’s playing shirts as part of the agreement.
“Novartis has played a very important part in the recent FCB history,” FC Basel president Bernhard Heusler said. “Since Novartis began supporting FC Basel, we have steadily developed and improved – this is no coincidence. We are therefore extremely pleased that this long-standing and excellent partnership with our very loyal main sponsor is continuing.”
Novartis has served as the main sponsor of the reigning Super League champion since 2004.
