The Sherwin-Williams Company has signed a five-year extension to continue its Valspar brand’s sponsorship of the Valspar Championship golf tournament through 2025.
The current agreement with the PGA Tour expires after the 2020 Valspar Championship, which is held annually in the Tampa Bay area.
Valspar will also continue as an official marketing partner with the PGA Tour, designated as the ‘Official Paint Supplier’.
Brian Oliver, executive vice-president of corporate partnerships at PGA Tour, said: “Valspar truly has had a positive impact on the tournament’s success and growth and its team has fully embraced the role of title sponsor by effectively engaging fans, interacting with business partners and using the tournament to showcase its products.”
The Valspar Championship was first played in 2000 and has been held at the Copperhead Course at the Innisbrook resort in Palm Harbour, Florida since its inception.
