Dubai Aluminium (Dubal), a subsidiary of Emirates Global Aluminium, has extended its sponsorship of the Dubai Desert Classic European Tour event and Dubai Ladies Masters Ladies European Tour competition until 2017.
Dubal struck the extended agreement with the Golf in Dubai organisation.
Dubal has a relationship with the Dubai Desert Classic men’s event that stretches back to 1992 and has supported the Dubai Ladies Masters since its inception in 2006.
Mohamed Juma Buamaim, vice-chairman and chief executive officer of Golf in Dubai, said: “Dubal's support, first as the main sponsors of both events and then as a key sponsor, has been monumental. It helped create real impact long before names like Tiger Woods, Annika Sorenstam and Ernie Els brought their famous presence to the city.”
Watch manufacturer Omega serves as title sponsor of both events, while Golf in Dubai is also supported by co-sponsors CNN, Drydocks World & Maritime World, Emirates NBD, Gulf News, Mercedes-Benz and Wasl.
