Japanese travel agency HIS has agreed a sponsorship deal with Spanish LaLiga football club Sevilla.
The one-year agreement covers the 2016-17 LaLiga season and names HIS as an official regional sponsor of the club.
As part of the deal, which is the first of its kind for HIS, the agency will promote the Sevilla brand in Japan.
Football fans in Japan will also be given the chance to win a tour of the renovated Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, Sevilla’s home ground.
“This new regional sponsorship will provide the club with great visibility in the Japanese market and allow us to grow our brand at national, regional and global levels,” Sevilla’s marketing director Ramón Loarte said.
Sevilla currently has one Japanese player on its books following the signing of midfielder Hiroshi Kiyotake (pictured) from German Bundesliga team Hannover 96 in the summer.
