The Seattle Storm has announced a 10-year partnership with Symetra Life Insurance Company, which will have branding on the upper left-hand shoulder of the WNBA team’s jersey as part of the deal.
The new Storm jerseys will be on display today (Wednesday) at the WNBA Draft, which is being broadcast on ESPN2 and the ESPN app.
Symetra – a national provider of employee benefits, annuities and life insurance based in Bellevue, Washington – will also be designated as the ‘Official Life Insurer of the Seattle Storm’ and be the presenting sponsor of the team’s ‘Inspiring Women Night’ for the duration of the partnership.
The organizations will unveil a joint community partnership and future philanthropic endeavours later this spring. According to the team, it is the “largest deal in franchise history”.
Earlier this week, the WNBA unveiled a new logo and a partnership with AT&T.
