Seat, Pelayo, Sanitas partner with Spanish football federation

Spain’s national football federation has renewed partnerships with Spanish carmaker Seat, insurance firm Pelayo, and private health clinic Sanitas.

Under a new two-year deal, Seat will continue as a Principal Partner of the Spanish national team through 2021.

Seat will be the Official Vehicle of the Spanish national team and will sponsor the Spanish under-21 team, which will compete in the European Championship in Italy and San Marino this summer.

The Spanish carmaker also sponsors the Copa del Rey, Spain’s biggest club knockout competition, though a separate deal with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

The RFEF’s two other Principal Partners are Spanish financial group CaixaBank and German sportswear brand adidas.

The Spanish football federation has also renewed its Official Partner deal with Spanish insurance firm Pelayo.

Under the four-year deal, Pelayo will continue to sponsor the Spanish national team until the end of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Pelayo has sponsored the Spanish national team since 2008, covering trophy-winning campaigns at Euro 2008, World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012.

In its latest renewal, Pelayo will also sponsor the Spanish women’s team, which heads to the Women’s World Cup in France this summer.

The RFEF’s two other Official Partners are Spanish national carrier Iberia and travel comparison site Halcon Viajes.

Finally, the RFEF has also renewed its partnership with private Spanish medical firm Sanitas.

Under the two-year deal, Sanitas will continue as the Official Medical Provider to the Spanish men’s, women’s and U21 teams.

The deal will expire after Euro 2020, which will be held in multiple host cities throughout Europe.

The RFEF’s other Official Contributors include Spanish water brand Carbeiroa and wine brand Marqués de la Concordia.
