Vauxhall has agreed a four-year extension to its sponsorship deal with the Scottish Football Association in a move that will ensure the automotive firm retains its position as a lead partner to the Scottish national team.
The initial deal, which began in January 2011, is due to expire in July 2014, but the new agreement will ensure the partnership will last until July 2018 – up to and including the Fifa World Cup in Russia.
This period will also include Uefa Euro 2016 in France, in addition to other Scottish national men’s, women’s, youth and disability matches.
Vauxhall will now continue to develop the relationships it has forged with the SFA’s communications, commercial and digital teams. This will include the ongoing support of social and digital media channels, as well as the wider distribution of supporter-orientated video content.
Vauxhall will also support the SFA’s 150th anniversary celebrations this year, which will be marked by a friendly against England at Wembley Stadium.
