German Bundesliga football club Schalke 04 has entered into a partnership with health insurance company AOK and extended its association with soft drinks giant Coca-Cola.
AOK’s three-year deal with Schalke names it as the club’s official health partner. The agreement covers the 2016-17 to 2018-19 seasons.
As part of the deal, AOK will provide health advice for children and families on match days. Other awareness projects will also be organised to promote the partnership.
Meanwhile, Coca-Cola products will continue to be sold at Schalke’s Veltins Arena stadium on match days under the new deal, the length of which was not disclosed. The company will also continue to hold a range of advertising and media rights as part of the agreement.
