Saudi Arabia has further enhanced its backing of women’s golf by agreeing a deal with the Ladies European Tour (LET) to establish a new series of four tournaments, title sponsored by state-owned energy company Aramco.

The Aramco Team Series will be held in New York, London, Singapore and King Abdullah Economic City, near Jeddah, with each tournament carrying a $1m (€834,000) prize fund. The LET said the four tournaments will form an “important part” of a “record-breaking” 2021 schedule, which is set to be announced in the coming weeks.
