The South African Rugby Union, the governing body of rugby union in the country, has renewed a sponsorship deal with sports drink Energade.
The extension of the associate sponsorship agreement will run for five years, from 2016 to 2020.
Over the past two weeks, the governing body has unveiled new sponsorship deals with Tsogo Sun, OUTsurance and Bidvest Car Rental, with more announcements expected soon.
“Our association with Energade dates back to 1999 and it’s wonderful to see them continuing their support of the Springboks,” the governing body’s chief executive, Jurie Roux, said. “We know that Energade pick their involvement with sports sponsorships very carefully and it speaks volumes that they have decided to renew with us, especially as we’re currently in a tough economic climate.”
