Spanish brewing company Mahou-San Miguel is to become an official sponsor of the Spanish Football League’s (LFP) World Challenge club friendly competition.
The agreement will run for two years, from 2015 until 2016.
Launched in 2014, the World Challenge has been designed to boost the Spanish Liga’s presence in foreign markets, whilst also promoting Marca España – a state-backed initiative aimed at boosting the country’s image within and outside Spain.
The first stage of the World Challenge took place last year, with a number of Liga clubs such as Valencia and Atlético Madrid taking part in various events around the world.
