Australian boating and camping retailer Road Tech Marine has become the latest partner of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup, which will be staged in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
Road Tech Marine will serve as an official partner of the national team tournament in Australia and New Zealand.
Under the agreement, Road Tech Marine will see its brand promoted on all goal and corner post pads at matches in both countries, as well as its logo on the referees’ sleeves and within the stadium across LED video boards.
The company will conduct targeted media, as well as in-store and online campaigns to promote the partnership.
Andrew Hill, the tournament's chief executive said: “A focus for this year’s tournament is to grow the game’s fan base and I’m pleased that we have also been able to attract new commercial partners to the sport, including Road Tech Marine whose partnership is the company’s first major sponsorship.”
Jarrod Carroll, Road Tech Marine’s chief marketing officer, added: “Everyone at Road Tech Marine is excited to be partnering with this year’s Rugby League World Cup and play an active role to promote the sport’s premier international event.
“Our boating, caravan and off-road accessories business is rapidly expanding and to be associated with a tournament that has such a large footprint across both Australia and New Zealand, aligns perfectly with our own ambitions.”
The majority of fixtures at this year’s event will be held in Australia and New Zealand, with three pool matches to be staged in Papua New Guinea. The event runs from October 27 to December 2.
