The impact of the pandemic on football club finances was underlined again as Manchester United reported its second quarter results. United's matchday revenue was down 96 per cent year-on-year. Commercial revenue (mostly sponsorships) was down 11.3 per cent. However, broadcasting revenue was up 68 per cent, due to the team playing in the Uefa Champions League this season, as opposed to the Europa League last season.
