Swiss watchmaker Rolex has renewed its sponsorship of the Australian Open grand slam tennis tournament.
Under the new long-term deal, Rolex will retain its position as the official timekeeper and associate sponsor of the event until 2027.
As part of the agreement, Rolex timepieces will continue to be showcased across venues during the tournament.
Content will be created to promote the partnership at the Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena and Hisense Arena, while Rolex will also have a presence across the event’s digital and broadcast platforms.
Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley said: “This expanded partnership will retain the heritage of Rolex at the Australian Open whilst also introducing a range of new and contemporary elements in the digital and virtual space.
“This is an exciting time for both Rolex and the Australian Open and we look forward to continuing to work closely with Rolex to grow our partnership across all global, regional and domestic markets.”
Rolex first sponsored the Australian Open in 2008.
