Red Sox extend with partner, Mariners pen renewal

The Boston Red Sox has extended a partnership with US-based airline JetBlue, while rival Major League Baseball franchise, the Seattle Mariners, has renewed its deal with cruise company Holland America Line.

JetBlue will continue to serve as the official airline of the Red Sox for the next 13 years, through to the 2030 season.

JetBlue also has deals in place with various other sports teams within the New England region, including the Boston Celtics NBA basketball franchise and the New England Patriots NFL American football team.

Meanwhile, Holland America Line has opted to extend its partnership with the Mariners until the end of the 2018 season.

Holland America Line will continue to benefit from a branding presence inside the franchise’s Safeco Field ballpark.

The firm will also remain the sponsor of the seventh-inning stretch at Mariners home games, as well as presenting sponsor of the team’s ‘Salute to Those Who Serve’ on-field recognition programme and the annual ‘Fan Appreciation Night’ at the ballpark.

In addition, for each strikeout thrown by a Mariners pitcher during home games, Holland America Line will make a donation to the Seattle Children’s Hospital.
