Hong Kong-based direct selling company Qnet has renewed its sponsorship of the Tour du Faso cycling event.
Qnet will support the 10-day race in Burkina Faso for a second year following a successful stint as a major sponsor in 2012.
The 2013 edition got under way on Friday and runs until November 3.
Qnet managing director JR Mayer hopes the deal can aid the company’s growth in the Sub-Saharan Africa region having established a local affiliate Qnet East Africa in August and recently launched an e-commerce platform in Rwanda.
Qnet is also a major sponsor of the Marussia Formula One racing team and featured as an advertising partner of football’s English Premier League for Swansea City’s early season home games against Manchester United and Arsenal.
