Qatar Airways is looking to strengthen its exposure in the United States, as well as its global sponsorship portfolio, by partnering with the Brooklyn Nets and the Barclays Center, the NBA team’s venue.
The multi-year deal represents Qatar Airways’ first entry into the NBA sponsorship market.
As part of the agreement, the Barclays Center’s Courtside Club will be known as the Qatar Airways Club while, the airline will also receive branding on all courtside seats.
BSE Global, which operates the Nets and Barclays Center, believes the partnership will help the team and venue’s global reach. “It has been an ongoing priority of the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center to expand our reach globally, and Qatar Airways helps us to bring brand awareness to a dynamic new audience,” said Brett Yormark, the BSE Global chief executive.
