PyeongChang 2018 snaps up ticketing partner

The PyeongChang Organising Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic winter Games (POCOG) has agreed a partnership with South Korean ticketing services company Interpark Corporation.

Interpark has been named an official supporter of the Games in the ticketing sales and distribution services category.

As part of the agreement, the company will provide POCOG with the necessary systems, equipment and personnel needed for the body to implement its ticketing programme. Key client groups and the Korean general public will also receive ticket sales services from Interpark.

“It is very meaningful to have Interpark, which is one of the leading companies in the ticketing business in Korea, as a sponsor,” Yeo Hyungkoo, POCOG general secretary, said. “Through its outstanding infrastructure and sales know-how, PyeongChang 2018 is striving to achieve full stadia.”

The 2018 winter Olympic Games will take place in PyeongChang from February 9-25. Interpark has supported a host of major sporting events held in South Korea, including the 2002 Fifa World Cup, 2010 Formula One Korean Grand Prix, 2011 IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Daegu and the 2015 Gwangju summer Universiade.
