UK-based logistics provider PSP has extended its sponsorship of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race ahead of the 2017-18 edition of the sailing event.
PSP will serve as a team partner and the official logistics supplier of the race. The company also sponsored the 2013-14 and 2015-16 editions of the race.
PSP founder and managing director Frank Dixie said: “It’s the willingness to grab a challenge with both hands that aligns us with the race and makes us the perfect partner for its logistics.
“The last two races have proved to be an amazing opportunity to build our profile on a global platform as a team partner, while supporting something very important to us.
“It’s a golden opportunity to take the PSP brand worldwide once more and we couldn’t be more excited to be involved.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool 2018, a new international destination campaign introduced by the English city’s council, has been unveiled as a team sponsor for the 2017-18 Race.
The Liverpool 2018 campaign has been launched to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the city being named as the European Capital of Culture in 2008.
The 2017-18 Clipper Race begins in Liverpool on August 20, with the fleet’s first stop to be in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
